    Business Storytelling

Craft impactful stories that drive engagement and influence in business.

    Who is it for?

Anyone wanting powerful, resonant messaging, better connection and persuasive buy-in.

    Overview

Stories have been told in the same way since the beginning of time, but little thought is put into how we translate this into the world of Business; communication is often a stream of linear, process-driven facts leaving stakeholders disconnected and disengaged, ultimately weakening business outcomes.

    Why Us?

We can help. Our Trainers have inhabited the world of professional Storytelling across stage and screen for over 20 years. We've taught thousands of Business people the simple yet powerful principles of storytelling, enabling them to inspire Leaders, Peers and Teams.

    What you'll gain

A simple, yet powerful structuring system with universal appeal and multiple applications.

Ability to express complex ideas with clarity and confidence.

    Buy-in, engagement and connection.

    Subsequent practical, transformative actions.

    How We Do It

Exploring the principles of storytelling through the medium of movies (popcorn optional!) and putting these powerful principles into your business stories. What's the storytelling arc? Why do we need peril to achieve successful outcomes? Who are you in the story? And who is your Stakeholder? Once the theory is explored, we put this into practice with a practical, lively coaching session.

    Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about our Business Storytelling programme.

What do you mean by 'storytelling' in a business context?+

We're not talking about fiction or fairy tales. Business storytelling uses the same universal structural principles that have made stories compelling for thousands of years - a clear beginning, a challenge or tension in the middle, and a resolution. These principles apply whether you're presenting a quarterly update, pitching to a client or rallying your team around a new strategy.

Can storytelling really work for short communications like emails or Slack messages?+

Absolutely. The principles we teach are scalable. A well-structured story can be told in 30 seconds or 30 minutes. Once you understand the underlying arc - context, challenge, resolution - you can apply it to a two-line email, a five-minute stand-up or a full keynote. It's the structure that creates impact, not the length.

I deal in data and facts - won't storytelling feel forced or fluffy?+

Not at all. Data without narrative is forgettable. Storytelling doesn't replace your facts - it gives them a framework that makes them land. Research consistently shows that people remember information wrapped in a story far more than isolated data points. We help you lead with insight and let the data support the narrative, not the other way around.

What makes your storytelling methodology different from other courses?+

Our trainers have spent over 20 years in professional storytelling across stage, screen and business. We don't teach abstract theory - we use the universal principles behind the world's most compelling movies and narratives and translate them directly into your business context. The method is simple, memorable and immediately applicable.

Will I actually practise storytelling during the session?+

Yes. After exploring the principles through the lens of well-known films, you'll apply the storytelling arc to your own real business scenarios in a practical, coached session. You'll leave with a structure you can use the very next day.

How do these storytelling principles help with stakeholder buy-in?+

People don't buy into bullet points - they buy into stories. When you frame a business case as a story with a clear challenge, stakes and resolution, your stakeholders see themselves in it. They feel the tension and understand why action matters. This emotional connection is what turns passive listeners into active supporters.

Is this suitable for people who aren't natural presenters?+

This course is designed for everyone, not just confident speakers. In fact, people who feel less comfortable presenting often benefit the most, because a strong story structure gives you a reliable framework to lean on. You don't need charisma - you need a clear arc, and we'll give you one.
